Reece Harper
JOURNEYMAN PLUMBER AND GAS FITTER
Hey there, I’m Reece! Proud to call High River, AB, my hometown.
After high school, I took the plunge into the world of plumbing through SAIT, got my Journeyman Plumber and Gasfitter ticket, and now, I’ve got over 15 years of experience under my belt.
But life isn’t just about work, right? So, I packed my bags and headed Down Under to Australia and New Zealand for a while. Worked in plumbing, explored new horizons, and made memories that’ll last a lifetime.
Traveling became my thing, and I couldn’t resist hopping around the globe with my buddies. From Cambodia to Greece, we covered a lot of ground!
But in the end, there’s nothing quite like the feeling of coming home. That’s why I decided to bring my expertise back to Calgary and start Harper’s Plumbing. Because while the world’s a big place, there’s something special about small-town roots.
So, that’s me—a plumber by trade, an adventurer at heart. Let’s keep the journey going, one pipe at a time!
Morgan Harper
MBA – UNIVERSITY OF CALGARY
Well, hey there, neighbours! I’m Morgan, proudly hailing from the cozy corners of Rollyview and Thorsby in good ol’ Alberta.
After completing high school, I decided to up my game and chase that Bachelor of Commerce dream. Started in Red Deer, then followed the path to Calgary.
After a few years I decided to level up with an MBA at the University of Calgary because I have a strong desire for learning. A library or a bookstore may just be one of my favourite places.
Now, here’s where it gets interesting. How did I end up tangled in the wild world of plumbing, you ask? Well, it’s a tale as old as time. Needed a plumber, asked a friend, and next thing you know, I’m married to Reece, with a kid and a dog, living the dream.
So, yeah, life’s full of surprises. But hey, who knew plumbing would lead to my happily ever after, right? Here’s to unexpected love and unclogged drains!
Hamish
Hey, I’m Hamish! I’m a Kiwi from rural New Zealand and have been plumbing for 11 years. I got into plumbing as I wanted to be an excavator operator, but there isn’t a trade for that, so my Mum made me become a plumber. I’ve grown to love the trade and thank her for it!
When I’m not working, you’ll find me mountain biking, snowboarding, or just enjoying the great outdoors. I also have a secret hobby of eating unhealthy amounts of ice cream!
Fun fact: I spent my teenage years racing motocross nationals in New Zealand, which was a huge passion of mine.
Kris
Hi, I’m Kris! I was born in Calgary but grew up in Ottawa. I’ve been plumbing for 19 years and still love every minute of it. When I’m not working, you’ll find me hitting the slopes on my snowboard, mountain biking, or exploring new places.
At home, I’m kept busy by my two golden retrievers—they’re the sweetest dogs and absolutely adore the off-leash dog parks. They’re a big part of my life and always up for an adventure!
Richard
Hi, I’m Richard! I’m the Part-Time Office and Materials Coordinator at Harper’s Plumbing, helping keep things organized and running smoothly behind the scenes. While I might be camera shy, my feline companion Margaret is more than happy to step in as the face of my profile—she’s a natural star!
When I’m not coordinating materials or managing office tasks, I’m busy running Cats Will Play, a boarding paradise exclusively for cats. I started Cats Will Play with one goal in mind: to give cats a safe, cage-free place to live, play, and socialize while their humans are away. From personalized bedrooms to playgrounds full of toys, our feline guests enjoy all the comforts of home—and then some!
Fun fact: Margaret loves to “contribute” to phone calls by chatting loudly in the background, ensuring her voice is always heard!
Gurdi
Meet Gurdi
Gurdi is our lovable, black Australian Labradoodle and the heart of our office. At two years old, she’s a standard-sized bundle of joy who loves spending her days keeping Morgan company at work. Gurdi occasionally joins us on supplier trips and is always eager to make new friends at the local dog park. Whether she’s lending moral support in the office or making friends on her outings, Gurdi adds warmth and charm to everything we do.
The coffeepot is always on and we would love to get to know you!
