Journeyman/woman plumber

• Work Location: On site, work must be completed at the physical location. There is no option to work remotely.
• Salary: To be negotiated / 35.00 to 44.00 hours per week
• Employment Terms: Permanent employment/Full time

• Education: Other trades certificate or diploma (Plumbing technology/plumber)
• Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years

Responsibilities/Tasks:

• Install domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Repair domestic, commercial or industrial plumbing fixtures and systems
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
• Prepare tenders and quotations
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut opening in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
• Test pipes for leaks using air and water pressure gauges
• Determine piping system requirements and pipe sizing
• Supervise other workers
• Estimate costs and materials
• Measure, cut, thread and bend pipes to required shape and size

Credentials:

• Certificates, licenses, memberships, and courses
• Plumber Trade Certification

Transportation/travel information:

• Valid driver’s license
